Liz and Ian discovered Tregathenan near Helston in 2002 and have lived here since then with our alpacas, ducks, geese, chickens, border collie and cats. It’s peaceful and quiet; it’s ‘away from it all, in the middle of it all’ – at the top of a private tree-lined drive, laden with spring flowers, surrounded by green fields and birdsong.

We would love you to come and share our little piece of heaven with a memorable self-catering holiday at Tregathenan. Choose from one of our 3 granite cottages set in a pretty enclosed courtyard, or our lovingly restored period house with its own mature garden. The properties sleep from 4 to 6 guests. They are all individual, clean, comfortable, centrally heated throughout and really well-equipped, plus there’s plenty of private parking. You can visit our animals at any time and join us alpaca trekking on a Wednesday afternoon – free to our guests.

Tregathenan is perfectly positioned for exploring the many local attractions, beaches and countryside of SW Cornwall. There are some great walks and bike rides starting from just outside your front door. Bikes can be safely stored in our own cycle shed.

We are passionate about Cornwall, and about preserving its unique culture, heritage and environment. We encourage sustainable tourism and are proud of our Green Tourism Gold Award status.  We have 2 Electric Vehicle charging points for our guests to use.

Tregathenan is dog friendly and dogs are welcome in the Granary, the Long Barn and in the Hayloft.

Tregathenan is great for kids too with lots of outdoor space, animals and our indoor playbarn.
